Terms & Conditions
Depending on the ceremony, the specific terms & conditions will vary. I will share the relevant booking form with you after the initial enquiry. However, there are a few general bits and pieces that it’s worth covering here:

Deposit – demand is high, and some dates can get booked up far in advance, so I am not able to hold a date without payment of the deposit. After the initial discussion, I will send you a booking form, including my bank details, giving you 10 days to pay the deposit. This is non-refundable and reserves me for the whole day (I won’t be rushing from your event to the next).

The booking form for your event will specify the terms of the cancellation policy, but briefly, in the very unlikely event that I need to cancel, I will always endeavour to introduce another member of the Association of Independent celebrants. Should you need to cancel for any reason, any payments already made will not be refundable.

Please note, at present, under English and Welsh law; celebrants are not able to legally solemnise weddings. This means you can complete the paperwork at your local registry office for about £50, then focus on your unique ceremony and celebration on the big day. After all, your naming ceremony or christening didn’t happen on the day you were born, did it?
