  • Where can we have our ceremony?
The beauty of working with a celebrant is that you can have your ceremony wherever you want. At Esther Kay we want your day to be truly all about you. We have worked with couples who have decided to hold their ceremonies in their homes, woodlands, the beach, and castles or going abroad to celebrate. We are there to make it work wherever you decide to have your event!
  • Will you write our vows?
We encourage couples to write their own vows. Saying your vows is such a special moment towards your partner. We can help you to frame what you want to say and provide you with some inspiration.
  • Are celebrants legally allowed to marry you?
At the current time, celebrants are not legally allowed to marry you. The legalities are always carried out by a registrar in a registry office, formalising and legalising the marriage.
  • What ceremonies do you conduct?
Wedding ceremonies Renewal of vows Commitment ceremonies Adoption ceremonies Baby naming ceremonies
  • Are your ceremonies religious?
Whilst I do have religious beliefs of my own, I am happy to incorporate any spiritual or religious elements that are important to you or your loved ones. There are also many symbolic actions you can incorporate into your ceremony in addition to poems and readings. We can discuss this further during our meeting.
  • What happens if you/we need to cancel?
I understand that circumstances change and that you may need to cancel or postpone your ceremony. My terms & conditions provide more information; similarly, should I be unable to conduct the ceremony, I will endeavour to find a suitable substitute, subject to your agreement.
  • Are you qualified?
Yes, I am a qualified celebrant holding a Diploma in Celebrancy (couples and naming) from Civil Ceremonies Ltd.
  • How does it work?
Thank you for your question. Please have a quick read of our process here, and then book a free consultation to discuss further.

Thanks for submitting your information. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
